Mumbai Indians Welcome Women’s Premier League Team to its Growing #OneFamily
The Mumbai Indians announce the addition of a very special franchise—a women's cricket team in the inaugural Women's Premier League (WPL), which is set to begin play in March 2023—as part of their ongoing commitment to promoting sports for women and growing the MI #OneFamily. As a result, MI's women's squad joins the Mumbai Indians, MI Cape Town, and MI Emirates as the company's fourth franchise. The Mumbai Indians won the bid to represent Mumbai. With the addition of their own women's team, the Paltan will be able to support and celebrate in the same manner as they have done for the past 15 years, helping the Mumbai Indians become the most prosperous franchise in Indian sports.
